Premier Sports & Recreation Spaces for Retreats and Events

With more than 30 years of experience operating as a summer sports camp, Trout Lake offers some of the best indoor and outdoor athletic facilities in the Poconos. Our expansive fields, multi-sport buildings, and versatile recreational spaces are ideal for retreats, school groups, athletic teams, youth organizations, and any group looking to stay active during their stay.

To make planning simple, we offer a variety of sports equipment free of charge, which can be reserved ahead of time. Group leaders communicate their needs in advance so our staff can prepare your space prior to your arrival. Please note: availability of some activity spaces depends on the season and weather conditions.

Groups are also welcome to bring any of their own equipment or specialty gear.

Outdoor Athletic Fields

Our well-maintained playing fields span more than five acres, offering plenty of room for soccer, flag football, softball, ultimate frisbee, relay games, and a wide variety of outdoor sports and team-building activities. Groups love the open space and flexibility, whether for structured tournaments or casual recreation.

The Fieldhouse

At 17,000 square feet, the Fieldhouse is our largest covered athletic facility, featuring:

Three regulation basketball courts
Full lighting for evening use
A roof and partial walls that provide weather protection while maintaining an open-air feel

This space is ideal for basketball tournaments, indoor soccer, large group icebreakers, yoga sessions, and high-energy retreat programming.

The Arena

Our second indoor sports space, the 7,000-square-foot Arena, is fully enclosed and perfect for activities requiring a controlled indoor environment. Groups use it for martial arts training, dodgeball tournaments, fitness classes, team-building initiatives, dance rehearsals, and more.

Both indoor facilities provide year-round flexibility for any activity that needs ample space, safety, and comfort.

Pickleball Courts

Located directly behind the Fieldhouse, our four outdoor pickleball courts are a favorite among both casual players and competitive groups. We provide paddles and balls, so there’s no need to bring your own equipment unless you prefer to.

Whether you’re organizing a tournament or just looking for a fun, social game, pickleball is a great way to stay active and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Golf Driving Ranges & Putting Green

Also located behind the Fieldhouse, our golf practice area includes driving ranges and a putting green, perfect for relaxing between sessions or organizing a casual competition.

We provide golf clubs and balls, so your group can take full advantage of this unique on-site feature without needing to pack gear.

Beach Volleyball Courts

Our two lighted beach volleyball courts are located just next to the Boathouse, offering a fun and scenic spot for casual play or friendly competition. Picnic table seating nearby makes it easy for spectators to relax and cheer on the action. Perfect for daytime games or evening matches by the lake.

I recently attended a weekend retreat here with my college and we had SO much fun! I was not at all expecting such nice cabins and facilities, but they’ve really gone above and beyond with all the services! We had so much fun with all the activities available, especially the rock climbing and zip line! Can’t wait to come back and do it again next year.
