Frequently Asked Questions
Find Answers To Your Most Common Questions
When are you open?
We operate from late August through early June. During the summer months, our facility is dedicated exclusively to our overnight sports camp and is not available for weddings or special events.
If you have a specific date in mind, please call, text, or email us, our team is always happy to check availability and help you secure your preferred date.
Can I rent a cabin?
We do not offer individual cabin rentals. Our lodging is reserved for group retreats and is included as part of a complete retreat package that features accommodations, meals, and meeting spaces.
Can I go fishing on the lake?
Trout Lake is a private 100-acre lake, and we do not allow outside fishing to ensure the privacy and tranquility of our guests.
If you are staying with us as part of a retreat, you are welcome to fish during your visit. We operate on a catch-and-release basis to help preserve the health of our lake and its ecosystem. Please bring your own equipment and make sure you have a valid Pennsylvania Fishing License.
Can I come and take photos?
Booked wedding couples receive complimentary access for an engagement photo session, simply reach out to your wedding coordinator to schedule a time.
Because we are a private venue, we do not permit outside photographers or non-guest photoshoots on-site.
Can I bring my pet(s)?
We are animal lovers here at Trout Lake, but we ask that you do not bring pets on-site for the comfort of other guests with allergies and anxiety around animals. Couples who wish to include their dogs in their ceremony are welcome to do so, although they must remain on leash and be removed from the grounds upon the ceremony’s conclusion. Please inform your wedding coordinator if you plan on including your dog(s) on your special day.
Can I bring in my own food, alcohol, or caterer?
Trout Lake is a full-service venue with an exceptional culinary team that caters for all of our weddings, events, and retreats. We’re proud to offer a wide range of menu styles and can accommodate most dietary restrictions and special requests.
Because we operate under our own Pennsylvania State Liquor Control Board License, outside alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the property, including in overnight cabins.
We offer flexible bar packages including beer and wine, premium liquor selections, consumption-based options, and cash bars, allowing you to create the perfect beverage experience for your event.
