How to Make the Most of Attending a Wedding Tasting

1. Come Hungry But Not Too Hungry
Arrive with a moderate appetite. Our tasting events involve smaller portions of multiple dishes. You might rush through the experience rather than savoring each bite if you arrive too hungry.

2. Know Your Guest List and Dietary Needs
Think about who will be attending your wedding. Do you have vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or guests with allergies? Our staff will be on hand to discuss alternative options to ensure everyone feels included and well-fed.

3. Ask Questions and Take Notes
This is the perfect opportunity to ask questions. Bring a notepad or use your phone to jot down notes, especially if you’re tasting several options. We’ll have copies of our full menus on hand for you to review as you are eating. During the event, our staff will be visiting each table to answer any questions you may have.

4. Sample a Variety of Dishes
Even if you think you’ve already decided on your menu, come with an open mind. We always offer a range of appetizers, entrées, sides, and desserts. You might discover a dish that becomes a highlight of your wedding!

5. Bring Additional Family Members or Friends
Your wedding tasting is a shared experience, so, if appropriate, bring any family members or friends helping with decisions. However, keep the group small as sometimes, too many cooks can spoil the broth! Additional guests do incur a charge.

6. Explore Our Facility
Arrive early enough to explore our facility, our staff will be stationed at key locations to answer any questions you may have. Visit each of the ceremony sites, check out the cocktail hour space and outdoor deck, and stop in the bride and groom cabins where you’ll be getting ready on the day. Don’t forget to stop by the Lake House first, this beautiful home located at the end of Trout Lake is available for rental by couples or families.

7. Enjoy the Process!
Lastly, savor the moment. Planning a wedding is a big task, but your tasting is a chance to slow down and indulge in great food. Enjoy every bite—it’s all part of the magic leading up to your special day.
